How many times can the product be reused?
The device can be reused as many times as needed, up to 16 hours per day during the 3 month lifetime of the product.

How do I know which size I should use?
It's best simply to test and see, starting with the smallest size. If it doesn't work for you (or your patient) and they still leak or it feels uncomfortable, we recommend to go up a size. Even if the smallest size does work, it might be an idea to try a larger size for comparison's sake. Smaller doesn't always mean more comfortable.

Can I wear to the gym, cross-fit, running, horse-riding, playing sport?
Yes, Efemia can be used during high-impact exercise.

Will Efemia Bladder Support cure my incontinence?
No, Efemia will not cure your stress urinary incontinence (SUI). It will help you to keep dry during use when you need it. When you remove the device the effect of the device will be gone.

Do I have to remove before going to the toilet / bathroom?
No, you do not need to remove Efemia to empty your bladder and/or bowel, but if preferred, you can and then re-insert.

Can I use oil based lubricants?
Use drinking water or water based lubricants only. Oil based lubricants break down silicone.

How do I know which size to purchase?
Efemia is available as a Startset, which includes the 3x available sizes and cotton storage bag. This allows you to find the correct size for you and your needs. When Efemia needs replacing, you can then purchase the 'Replacement' single size that suits you best.

Is Efemia suitable for me?
If you are able to retain (wear) a tampon or menstrual cup, then you should be able to use Efemia.

Can Efemia Bladder Support be used with a coil?
Yes

Efemia inserted
Once inserted Efemia should feel comfortable like a well fitted tampon or menstrual cup. It should prevent leakage. If it doesn't feel comfortable or you have difficulty emptying your bladder when you are wearing it, trial the smaller size for comparison sake. Alternatively, trial the larger size if you find you are still leaking or you feel the Efemia moving.

Cleaning Efemia
Efemia can be removed, rinsed under clean drinking water, then placed into the Efemia Cleaning Bag with 100mls water and microwaved for 3minutes at 750 watt. Your Efemia is then ready to use again *CAUTION: Beware of the steam vent on the side of the bag! Leave to cool before handling.

How should I store Efemia?
Efemia should be stored in the cotton bag that is included with the Efemia Startset. Please do not store any brand insertion device or menstrual cup in a plastic zip lock bag. Plastic increases the chance for bacterial growth, and is harmful to you with the extra added plastic burden on the environment.
